Utah high school football rankings: Corner Canyon No. 1 in 2024 Preseason MaxPreps Top 25

Chargers begin the season ranked No. 18 in the nation after going 13-1 in 2023.

The high school football season in Utah kicks off this week and MaxPreps has your look at the state's top teams. Defending 6A state champion Corner Canyon (Draper) owns the No. 1 spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25.

The Chargers begin the season ranked No. 18 nationally and look to repeat as state champions in the highest classification.

Seniors Bryton Brady (5-10, 175, RB), Jerome Myles (6-2, 205, WR) and Jordan Vyborny (6-5, 230, TE, committed to Oklahoma State) along with juniors Helamen Casuga (6-0, 200, QB) and Esun Tafa (6-4, 285, OL) lead the charge for Corner Canyon.

Myles is the highest recruited player in the state and the No. 5 wide receiver in the nation. The five-star has 28 offers including Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Utah.

In addition to Corner Canyon, defending state champions include Timpview (Provo) in 5A, Crimson Cliffs (Washington) in 4A, Richfield in 3A, San Juan (Blanding) in 2A and Beaver in 1A.
