Softball Recap: Burke Takes a Loss

If Burke was feeling good fresh off their 17-3 takedown of Omaha North on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Omaha South Packers on Wednesday, falling 9-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Packers: they've now lost three in a row.

Burke saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bre Bender, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Burke's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Omaha South, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
