Baseball Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

Putnam County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-5 to the Social Circle Redskins. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-4 defeat on Friday.

Branan Griffin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Social Circle, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Putnam County will square off against Lamar County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Social Circle, they will take on Jasper County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jasper County will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Social Circle surely won't give up without a fight.
