Softball Game Preview: Telfair County Trojans vs. Jeff Davis Yellowjackets

Telfair County hasn't had much luck against Jeff Davis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Telfair County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Telfair County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Wilcox County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 5-4.

Keely Johnson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalyn Deeds, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Jeff Davis didn't have quite enough to beat Effingham County on Saturday and fell 7-6.

Jeff Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Telfair County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
