Baseball Recap: St. Clair Takes a Loss

St. Clair extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-12. They lost 10-0 to the Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 last Thursday.

As for Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial's part, Griffin Larson looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Larson is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 7-2 (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Will McDougall was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Landon Sanderson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither St. Clair nor Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial have any future games scheduled.
