Baseball Recap: Early County Comes Up Short

Early County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Pelham Hornets. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Hornets when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Early County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Grist, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Early County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Pelham, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Early County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-11 victory against Northside Methodist Academy on the 15th. As for Pelham, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Terrell County on the 18th.
