Basketball Game Preview: Crossroads Christian Warriors vs. Bethel Christian Kings

Crossroads Christian hasn't had much luck against Bethel Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Crossroads Christian Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Bethel Christian Kings at 1:00 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Crossroads Christian is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Norton Science & Language Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Crossroads Christian blew Norton Science & Language Academy out of the water with a 44-11 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 21 point advantage.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bethel Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They breezed by Norton Science & Language Academy to the tune of 43-6 on Tuesday. With the Kings ahead 29-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Crossroads Christian better keep an eye on Faith Lantry. She was instrumental in Bethel Christian's win, putting up 17 points along with eight boards and eight steals. The dominant performance also gave Lantry a new career-high in assists (three). Kaila Ellison was another key player, posting ten points along with six boards and five steals.

Bethel Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Crossroads Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Crossroads Christian lost to Bethel Christian at home by a decisive 28-13 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Crossroads Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
