Basketball Game Preview: Torres Toros vs. Dos Palos Broncos

The Torres Toros will take on the Dos Palos Broncos in a tournament on Friday. Torres is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Last Monday, Torres strolled past Justin Garza with points to spare, taking the game 53-39. Given the Toros' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Guardians are ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Dos Palos came into Wednesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Riverdale by a score of 47-39 on Wednesday. The Broncos' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Torres' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Dos Palos, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Torres against Dos Palos when the teams last played back in November of 2022, as the team secured a 57-10 victory. Does Torres have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dos Palos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
