Baseball Recap: Cholla Takes a Loss

Cholla managed to slip by Douglas the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chargers lost 11-1 to the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Cholla saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cesar Valencia, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Cholla has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7-1 record this season. As for Douglas, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cholla will take on Tanque Verde at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Douglas, they will challenge Eastmark at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
