Basketball Recap: Linville Hill Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

There's no place like home for Linville Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over Covenant Christian Academy on Monday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Covenant Christian Academy are ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Linville Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abrielle Fisher led the charge by going 5 of 11 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Fisher has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Rishel, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 12 points and six assists.

Linville Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Linville Hill is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Linville Hill will face off against Lancaster County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Covenant Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
