Cozad won the last time they faced Lexington and things went their way on Thursday too. The Haymakers put the hurt on the Minutemen with a sharp 21-0 win. That looming 21-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Haymakers yet this season.

Isabella Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Cozad kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Cozad now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lexington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Cozad will be playing at home against Chase County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they are taking a road trip to square off against Highway 6 at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
