Bremen had won eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they bumped up to 5-0 to make it nine. They blew past the Chapel Hill Panthers 19-11. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Chapel Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

For Chapel Hill's part, Jayda Young was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Nyla Henson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bremen will host Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chapel Hill, they will welcome Temple at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
