Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Arlington

The Liberty Bison are taking a road trip to challenge the Arlington Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 12 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Liberty turned things around against Valley View on Wednesday. They and the Eagles finished up their game with a 0-0 draw. The Bison had to tread lightly for part of the match as Ryann Hill and Malia Russell were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Meanwhile, Arlington hadn't done well against Poly recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Arlington never let Poly onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on five straight.

With that draw, Liberty's record moves to 3-9-5. As for Arlington, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2-1.

Liberty might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Arlington in their previous matchup back in January. Can Liberty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
