Soccer Recap: North Murray Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

North Murray proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Christian Heritage Lions. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Mountaineers were the better team in the second half.

The win was the third in a row for North Murray, bringing their record for this year to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Christian Heritage, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, North Murray will host Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Heritage, they will head out on the road to take on Gordon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Christian Heritage's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
