Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Flames vs. Allegany Campers
It was a good run, but the Shalom Christian Academy Flames unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 63-28 loss at the hands of Allegany. Shalom Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Shalom Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maya Lehman, who scored six points along with three steals. Lehman hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joanna Rheam, who scored six points.
Shalom Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6. As for Allegany, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7.
Shalom Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mercersburg Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Mercersburg Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 398 points over their last six contests. As for Allegany, they will be playing at home against Goretti at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
