Baseball Recap: Piedmont Academy Comes Up Short

Piedmont Academy fell victim to Tattnall Square Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Piedmont Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Adams, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases.

Piedmont Academy dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-6 record this season.

Piedmont Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Webster County at 3:30 p.m. on the 14th. The Trojans are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
