Softball Game Preview: Wapsie Valley Warriors vs. St. Edmond Gaels

Wapsie Valley is on a six-game streak of home wins, while St. Edmond is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will host the Gaels on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Monday, Wapsie Valley made easy work of Don Bosco and carried off a 14-2 victory. The Warriors have beaten the Dons the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Dons has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, St. Edmond got the win against North Union last Saturday by a conclusive 8-1.

St. Edmond is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Wapsie Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 29-4.
