Rockford Christian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lutheran Crusaders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Royal Lions also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Rockford Christian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Devon Turner and Josephine Becker, who picked up six kills apiece. They were helped by Julia Irvin and Kayla Kruger, who contributed ten assists each. Finally, Allison Lynde kept Rockford Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Rockford Christian's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Lutheran, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockford Christian will take on IC Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lutheran, they will challenge Indian Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
