Reseda hadn't done well against Sylmar recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Regents' defense stepped up to hand the Spartans a 4-0 shutout. Reseda might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Sylmar with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daniela Parada (2), Ivet Bautista, and Danna Lopez.

The victory got Reseda back to even at 4-4-1. As for Sylmar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
