2022 All-Great Lakes Preseason High School Football Team: Offense

Dante Moore, Charlie Jagusah, J'ven Williams & Luke Montgomery headline the All-Great Lakes offensive football teams.

Red Grange, Jim Brown, Dick Butkus, Dan Marino, Joe Montana and Charles Woodson. The Great Lakes region has cultivated a bumper crop of prep talent that's gone on to rank among the greatest players in football history. Here's a look at the next batch – the 2022 MaxPreps All-Great Lakes Region Football Team.

The all-star squad is made up of players from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota, New York and Wisconsin.

QB: Dante Moore, King (Detroit, Mich.), 6-2, 195, sr. (Oregon)
Five-star prospect is country's No. 2 overall (regardless of position) prospect. Holds 40 offers including Ohio State, Georgia, UCLA, Miami (Fla.), Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State. Four-year starter has led program to state title (D-III last year) and runner-up finish (D-II in 2019). Has thrown for 5,778 yards, 73 touchdowns and three interceptions the last two seasons. Named 2021 MaxPreps Michigan Player of the Year.

QB: Bryce Underwood, Belleville (Mich.), 6-2, 200, so.
Named MaxPreps' national Freshman of the Year and Michigan AP Divisions 1-2 State Player of the Year last season after throwing for 2,888 yards, 39 touchdowns and four interceptions en route to leading program to its first state championship (Division I). Had 284 yards passing and six total touchdowns (five throwing) in the state final. Also rushed for six touchdowns on the season. Holds 22 offers, including Michigan, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.

QB: Ajani Sheppard, Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.), 6-2. 230, sr. (Old Dominion)
Last season the 2021 MaxPreps New York Player of the Year became first player in Westchester County history to throw for 2,000-plus yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in the same season. Added 38 total touchdowns and led the Gaels to their first Catholic state championship. Holds 15 offers (including Connecticut, Army, Navy, Air Force and Bowling Green).

RB: Marquese Williams, Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, Pa.), 5-9, 185, sr. (Minnesota)
Four-star prospect is a Top 10 RB nationally. Career numbers read 2,964 yards rushing, 338 yards receiving and 50 total touchdowns. Holds 26 offers with Minnesota, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech listed as favorites.

RB: Cole Cabana, Dexter (Mich.), 6-0, 180, sr. (Michigan)
Four-star prospect is a Top 10 RB nationally and the state's No. 2 overall prospect. Michigan AP Divisions 1-2 All-State last season after rushing for 1,688 yards and 24 touchdowns. Has been clocked at 10.69 in the 100 and 21.86 in the 200. Holds 20 offers, including Michigan State, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Cincinnati and Louisville.

RB: Kaden Feagin, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, Ill.), 6-3, 221, sr. (Illinois)
Four-star prospect is a Top 20 ATH nationally and the state's No. 3 overall prospect. Ran for 1,249 yards and 16 touchdowns and threw for 241 yards and six scores last season. Also had 99 tackles on defense and return touchdowns via interception, punt and kickoff. Picked Illinois over Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota and Miami (Fla.) among others.

WR: Semaj Morgan, West Bloomfield (Mich.), 5-10, 170, sr. (Michigan)
One of the state's Top 10 recruits caught 61 passes for 1,017 yards and 13 touchdowns last year. Also holds offers from West Virginia, Mississippi, Missouri and Mississippi State. Michigan AP Divisions 1-2 All-State.

WR: Malik Elzy, Simeon (Chicago, Ill.), 6-3, 198, sr. (Cincinnati)
Four-star prospect is a Top 50 receiver nationally and one of the state's Top 10 overall recruits. Holds 27 offers, including Iowa, Cincinnati, Illinois, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue and Tennessee.

WR: Anthony Brown, Springfield (Ohio), 5-10, 170, sr. (Kentucky)
Three-star prospect is one the state's Top 10 overall recruits. Holds 27 offers, including Michigan, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Washington, Tennessee and Colorado. Kentucky thought to be favorite.

TE: Brennan Parachek, Dexter (Mich.), 6-6, 235, sr. (Michigan State)
Four-star prospect is a Top 20 TE nationally and one of the state's Top 10 prospects overall. Kentucky, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Indiana and Arizona State among 10 offers.

AP: Rodney Gallagher, Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, Pa.), 5-10, 160, sr. (West Virginia)
Four-star prospect and Polynesian Bowl selection is a Top 20 receiver nationally and the state's No. 3 recruit. Plays QB predominantly, but future is at slot/receiver. Also return kicks. Elite athlete that excels in basketball as well.

OL: J'Ven williams, Wyomissing (Pa.), 6-4, 285, sr. (Penn State)
State's top prospect and four-star recruit is a Top 5 tackle nationally. Set the Class 2A state record in the shot put in May by throwing 66-7.75 to win the state championship. Also won the discus state title. First team PFW Class 3A All-State. Other offers include Michigan, Michigan State, South Carolina, USC, Virginia Tech and Illinois.

OL: Luke Montgomery, Findlay (Ohio), 6-5, 280, sr. (Ohio State)
Four-star prospect is the state's No. 1 recruit and a Top 15 tackle nationally. All-American Bowl selection is a two-time OPSWA D-I All-Ohio selection. Offer list includes USC, Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oklahoma, Penn State and South Carolina.

Four-star prospect is the top-ranked player in the state and a Top 5 tackle nationally. Offer list also includes Michigan, Iowa, LSU, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Illinois, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas and Wisconsin.

OL: Joshua Padilla, Wayne (Huber Heights, Ohio), 6-4, 265, sr. (Ohio State)
