Baseball Recap: Pace Academy Takes a Loss

If Pace Academy was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of M.L. King last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell 7-4 to the Jackson Jaguars on Wednesday.

Noah Zinman was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Thomson Brumfield made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Jackson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

While Pace Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
