Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Skates Past College Prep with Ease

Berean Christian's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over the College Prep Cougars. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Jadee Salvador was her usual excellent self, going 14 for 29 en route to 33 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Berean Christian's points. Jianna Cayanan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine steals.

Berean Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Berean Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Berean Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-27 loss against Alhambra on the 24th. As for College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-21 win against Drew on the 27th.
