Soccer Game Preview: Making Waves Academy vs. Head-Royce

Making Waves Academy hasn't had much luck against Head-Royce recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Making Waves Academy Marlins will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Head-Royce Jayhawks at 3:00 p.m.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Making Waves Academy turned things around against Ygnacio Valley on Friday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Marlins' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Head-Royce put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Saint Mary's by a score of 4-2.

Head-Royce's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three contests. Making Waves Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 0-3-1.
