Middletown had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.6 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They strolled past the Lower Lake Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 51-37. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-34 back in January.

Lower Lake's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Irianna Milano, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. That's the most boards Milano has posted since back in December of 2024. Jamiya Lee-Ayers was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Middletown is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Lower Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
