Baseball Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short

Lithia Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the East Paulding Raiders, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Wednesday.

Lithia Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for East Paulding, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Lithia Springs will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rome at 5:55 p.m. on the 15th. The Lions are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for East Paulding, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Cobb at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Raiders' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Warriors have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
