North Garland kept up with Wylie East until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. Wylie East claimed a resounding 47-14 win over North Garland. Wylie East hasn't had any issues with North Garland recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Wylie East got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Utubor out in front who rushed for 47 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Jaiden McLemore was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one score on only seven carries.

North Garland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jeremiah Denmark, who rushed for 135 yards and one TD, and Christian Hampton, who rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Wylie East's record now sits at 4-0. As for North Garland, their record is now 0-5.

Coincidentally, Wylie East and North Garland will both be playing Sachse the next time they take the field. Wylie East will head out to face Sachse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while North Garland will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
