It was a good run, but Gordon Lee unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the LaFayette Ramblers, falling 6-0. The Trojans were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Ramblers' pitchers proved too tough.

Gordon Lee's loss dropped their record down to 22-5. As for LaFayette, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-3.

Gordon Lee and LaFayette should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Trojans will take on Christian Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 316). Meanwhile, LaFayette (ranked 25th) will meet Murray County (ranked 214th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
