Baseball Recap: Assumption Comes Up Short

After flying high against Weyauwega-Fremont last Tuesday, Assumption came back down to earth. The Royals fell just short of the Tomahawk Hatchets by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Assumption saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ Oswald, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Assumption has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Tomahawk, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Assumption does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tomahawk, they will be playing at home against Crandon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Cardinals have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
