It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cherokee Bluff had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the North Hall Trojans by a score of 7-3. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Gabe Gowder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Ethan England and Bubba Coleman did most of the damage at the plate: England got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Coleman went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Kemp, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Cherokee Bluff's win bumped their record up to 24-11. As for North Hall, they moved to 26-7 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cherokee Bluff beat the Trojans by a score of 10-2 later that day.
