Softball Game Preview: Northwest Whitfield Bruins vs. Adairsville Tigers

Northwest Whitfield is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will challenge the Adairsville Tigers at 5:00 p.m.

Northwest Whitfield is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, falling 9-3.

Meanwhile, Adairsville got themselves on the board against Walker on Friday, but Walker never followed suit. They blew past the Wolverines 9-0.

Ashlyn Carlton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Carlton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
