Basketball Recap: Great Commission Bears vs. Bedford County CIA Agents

Great Commission took a 28-point defeat the last time they faced off against Bedford County CIA, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Great Commission Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bedford County CIA Agents on Monday, sneaking past 29-26. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-13 back in November of 2024.

Great Commission found their leader in freshman Alexa Hall, who posted ten points along with five steals and five blocks. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in blocks. Sophia Fleck was another key player, putting up four points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Several Agents players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Betsy Brennan, who earned ten points along with six boards and three steals. Brennan has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassia Gorczyca, who scored two points and five steals.

Great Commission's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Bedford County CIA, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Great Commission does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bedford County CIA, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 30-7 win against Champion Christian on the 25th.
