Volleyball Recap: Olathe Northwest Falls Short of Mill Valley in the Playoffs

Olathe Northwest and Mill Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Olathe Northwest had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Olathe Northwest actually scored more points across those three sets (71-69), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 26-24.

Olathe Northwest's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Amaya Jimenez, who had 16 digs and one assist, and Kendal Madsen, who had ten digs and one assist.

Mill Valley found their leader in sophomore Haedyn Lynnes, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Olathe Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 30-12. As for Mill Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Olathe Northwest nor Mill Valley have any future games scheduled.
