South waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They strolled past the Torrance Tartars with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Tartars on January 10th, they had to take a 49-46 loss.

South has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Torrance, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11.

South and Torrance should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. South (ranked 134th) will meet Cerritos (ranked 433rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Torrance will square off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 5:30 p.m. on Friday up 580 places (212 vs. 792).
