It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but La Jolla Country Day had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to the El Capitan Vaqueros for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-29 win. The Torreys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

La Jolla Country Day was led to victory by Mei-Ling Perry and Mahlia Washington. Perry dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds, while Washington went 5-for-11 on her way to 14 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Washington is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Erin Sicari was another key player, putting up 12 points.

La Jolla Country Day was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Capitan only two assists.

Keira Heinricy and Paige Worthem certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Heinricy posted 11 points, while Worthem earned ten points.

La Jolla Country Day is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for El Capitan and nudges their season record down to 23-6.

Coming up, La Jolla Country Day will take on Mission Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mission Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. El Capitan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
