Soccer Recap: Weed Takes a Loss

If Weed was feeling good fresh off their 7-2 takedown of Etna on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Fall River Bulldogs on Thursday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Weed couldn't quite close it out.

Weed's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Fall River, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Weed wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Etna on the 30th. As for Fall River, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Butte Valley on the 27th.
