Softball Recap: Westfield School Takes Down Piedmont Academy in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Westfield School rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Piedmont Academy Cougars. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Westfield School, bringing their record up to 16-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Piedmont Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-20.

As of now, neither Westfield School nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
