Baseball Recap: Carmi-White County Gets the Win

Carmi-White County won the last time they faced Hamilton County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs skirted past the Foxes 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Merrick Millhorn was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run. He has become a key player for Carmi-White County: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one home run, but 4-18 otherwise. Maxon O'Daniel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Carmi-White County lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March.

Carmi-White County's victory bumped their record up to 6-19. As for Hamilton County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17-1 record this season.

Carmi-White County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-1 win against Zeigler-Royalton on the 25th. Hamilton County has also already played their next game (against Galatia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
