Basketball Game Preview: Wilmington Greyhounds vs. Lakeview Sailors

Wilmington is 2-8 against Lakeview since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wilmington Greyhounds will challenge the Lakeview Sailors at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wilmington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Mercer as Wilmington made off with a 59-37 victory. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 390th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lakeview entered their tilt with Sharpsville on Saturday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 54-33 win.

Wilmington's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Lakeview, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Wilmington skirted past Lakeview 54-51 when the teams last played back in January. Will Wilmington repeat their success, or does Lakeview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
