Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Snags 18th Win in Last 19 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hillcrest had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They secured a 55-51 W over the Nordhoff Rangers.

Hillcrest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amaya Branchcomb, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance also gave Branchcomb a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Zoey Boulware was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Nordhoff and nudges their season record down to 18-9.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor Nordhoff have any future games scheduled.
