Volleyball Recap: Wheeler Takes a Loss

If Wheeler was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Whiting on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats fell 3-1 to the Lowell Red Devils on Wednesday. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devils from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Wheeler started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17.

Wheeler's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Lowell, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Looking ahead, Wheeler will square off against Westville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lowell, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hanover Central on the 9th.
