It was a good run, but Metter unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Metter's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Emanuel County Institute, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metter will challenge Claxton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Emanuel County Institute, they will take on Greenbrier at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
