Softball Recap: Dakota Ridge Takes a Loss

Wheat Ridge hit Dakota Ridge with a eight-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 9-0 to the Farmers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dakota Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wheat Ridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12-1.

Dakota Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-9 win against Conifer on the 8th. As for Wheat Ridge, they will welcome Pomona at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.94 runs per game on average), something the Farmers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
