Soccer Game Preview: Banks County vs. Towns County

The Banks County Leopards will venture away from home to challenge the Towns County Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Banks County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Banks County is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Rabun County on Tuesday. The Leopards lost 4-1 to the Wildcats.

Banks County's goal came courtesy of Tristan Guinn, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Towns County's contest on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They blew past Washington-Wilkes 5-0. Towns County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Towns County and bumps their season record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Banks County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
