Softball Recap: Dewey's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dewey entered their tilt with Lincoln Christian on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 14-4 win. Considering the Bulldoggers have won 13 matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Londyn Bond was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Kyla Overton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dewey kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Dewey's victory bumped their record up to 27-8. As for Lincoln Christian, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Dewey will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
