Softball Recap: Hampton Comes Up Short

Hampton fell victim to Ola and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 21-0 to the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hampton will challenge rival Union Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ola is set to square off against their familiar foe Jones County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2, the Greyhounds 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
