Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Ceres

Livingston came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Ceres, but Lilly Staggs wouldn't allow it. The Ceres Bulldogs came out on top against the Livingston Wolves by a score of 50-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Staggs, who posted 20 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Mariah Renteria, who scored seven points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

When it comes to explaining why Livingston lost, don't look at Annalee Aguilar. Despite the final result, she had four points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatianna Alvarez, who put up nine points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Ceres, bringing their record for this year to 17-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Livingston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Ceres will host Johansen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Livingston has already played their next contest (against Beyer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
