Salpointe Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 67-39 win over the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Salpointe Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison Even, who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points. Sidney Anderson was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 13 points and eight boards.

Salpointe Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Despite the defeat, Mica Mountain had strong showings from Amaris Biancuzzo, who posted eight points, and Isabella Webb, who scored ten points and five rebounds. What's more, Biancuzzo also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Salpointe Catholic's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4. As for Mica Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

Salpointe Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-39 victory against Notre Dame Prep on the 1st. As for Mica Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-33 win against Buena on the 31st.
