Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Patriots vs. Sanger Apaches

The Hoover Patriots will take on the Sanger Apaches at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hoover is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since January 3rd on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Edison with a sharp 63-43 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Tigers are ranked 775th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sanger escaped with a win on Tuesday against Torres by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Apaches.

Hoover has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Sanger, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-12.

Hoover won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played last Tuesday, slipping by Sanger 47-46. Will Hoover repeat their success, or does Sanger have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
