Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Raiders vs. Twiggs County Cobras

The Northeast Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Twiggs County Cobras at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northeast is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 18-3 to Dodge County.

Northeast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Durham, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Twiggs County fell victim to Montgomery County and their airtight pitching crew two weeks ago. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 21-0. The Cobras have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Twiggs County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything went Northeast's way against Twiggs County in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, as Northeast made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
