Basketball Recap: Mira Costa Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Mira Costa Mustangs didn't have quite enough to beat the Brea Olinda Wildcats and fell 58-55.

Brea Olinda got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anjali Adhvaryu out in front who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liz Han, who scored 16 points.

Mira Costa's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Brea Olinda, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Mira Costa will challenge West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brea Olinda, they will welcome Foothill at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brea Olinda has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three contests.
